Opportunities for Giving

The School of Music at the University of Minnesota depends upon generous private support from alumni and friends to continue its legacy of excellence. Contributions from private individuals have created a strong foundation that has helped our students and faculty achieve great things. Your tax-deductible contribution to the School of Music at the University of Minnesota will help us educate the next generation of leading musicians, composers, music teachers and audiences.

The School of Music still very much needs support for student scholarships from everyone who loves music. To put it simply, if you care about the future of music – about all types of professional musicians, music teachers, composers, music sellers, and audiences for live music – then you should be supporting the students of the University of Minnesota School of Music. There will be no Minnesota Orchestra, no Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, no high school band or choir directors, no inspiring piano teacher next door, no knowledgeable music store owners, no insightful music critics, no regular season ticket buyers in the future if we cannot support young musicians with scholarships and fellowships now.

You should know that wise investing on the part of the University of Minnesota Foundation has helped our endowment achieve a strong return of 6.8 percent over the last three years, within the top quartile of major nonprofit endowments. We put your money to work immediately, helping students and growing solidly for the future.

Make a gift to the School of Music online through the University of Minnesota Foundation.
