
Kenneth Fischer
Kenneth Fischer, Professor of Saxophone at the University of Georgia’s Hodgson School of Music, has received international recognition as a master teacher. He was awarded the Doctor of Music Degree With Distinction in Saxophone Performance from the Indiana University School of Music, studying with Eugene Rousseau. He has concertized throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He has premiered saxophone works including Concerto for Soprano Saxophone and Wind Orchestra by Robert Linn, and American Concertino for Soprano Saxophone and Chamber Orchestra by Jindřich Feld. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts Soloist Recording Grant as well as a Consortium Commissioning Grant. Fischer has recorded several CDs, his latest being Surrealistic Portraiture.
