Thomas Walsh
Thomas Walsh, Associate Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, has presented concerts and workshops in Asia, Australia, South America, and the United States. Recent CD releases include the David Baker Concerto with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Basically Baker with the Buselli/Wallarab Jazz Orchestra, and Sky Scrapings: Saxophone Music of Don Freund. His jazz CD, New Life, was released in 2002 complementing his 1998 classical release, Shaking the Pumpkin. A Yamaha Performing Artist, he also teaches at the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops. Dr. Walsh holds degrees in Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies from Indiana University, where he studied with Eugene Rousseu and David Baker.
