The Zagreb Saxophone Quartet
The Zagreb Quartet has gained an international reputation, having performed throughout Europe, Canada and the USA, including appearances with some of the foremost European orchestras. The Members of the ZSQ are all graduates of the Zagreb Academy of Music, where they studied with Josip Nochta. They have produced several CD’s, their most recent, Tsunagari, in collaboration with Eugene Rousseau. They have presented highly successful concerts at the University of Minnesota during the past several years, including the World Saxophone Congress in 2003. Other appearances in the U.S. have included Arizona State University, Interlochen Academy, and Carnegie Hall. Their vast repertoire includes original music for saxophone, as well as numerous transcriptions.
