Regardless of your intended major, schedule, or ability level, there is an ensemble for you! Ensembles are open to all University students.
All new and returning students interested in participating in School of Music ensembles (with the exception of University Band, Campus Band and Campus Orchestra) are required to audition in order to enroll in an ensemble. Students interested in participating in University Band, Campus Band, and Campus Orchestra only need to register and attend the first class meeting of these ensembles in order to take the class. University Band, Campus Band, Campus Orchestra, and Campus Singers do not require an audition. Find the course listing in OneStop, register, and then attend the first class meeting. University Band will host chair placement auditions the first week of class (register to receive instructions from the instructor). All other ensembles require an audition prior to registration.
Ensemble Auditions are held during the first week of classes in September for Fall ensembles and in December for Spring ensembles.

Audition excerpts and/or audition requirements are available under the appropriate heading above. Practice rooms will be available for warm-up 30-45 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled audition time. For access to the practice rooms, see the staff person in the Monitor Station.
Fall ensemble assignments will be posted on the bulletin boards outside Room 10 of Ferguson Hall. Spring audition results will be communicated via email.
