(percussion) was at the Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia, from September 21-27, offering a weeklong percussion seminar for students of this school, the National University and the Youth Philharmonic of Colombia, with whom he has been associated since its inception in 2010. He presented five separate master classes and conducted a percussion ensemble concert with more than 35 percussion students. Earlier this summer, Meza joined the Minnesota Orchestra on their historic tour to Havana, Cuba, and traveled to Cali, Colombia for the TAMBORIMBA Festival, to Canada as percussion coach for the YOA-Orchestra of the Americas, and to Costa Rica for the 4th International Festival of Percussion Ensembles.Laura Sindberg
